Clients of Trackershop-UK often ask us where is the best place to covertly attach a magnetic tracking device on a vehicle. When it comes to covert placement every vehicle is different, what you have to remember is that GPS signal does not pass through metal.
Our covert magnetic GPS trackers are designed to be attached to underneath a vehicle to allow the signal to bounce off the road. Make sure that the magnet(s) are facing up securely attached to the metal of the vehicle. Do not attach to the exhaust pipe.
If being placed inside a vehicle make sure the magnets are placed downwards towards the floor. Placing the tracker under the seat might work ok in one vehicle but not another. By simply moving the tracker slightly will allow you to find the perfect tracking position.
Before deploying the covert tracker always check your mapping panel to ensure it is on and reporting correctly. It is not uncommon for us to receive phone calls from clients who have deployed their tracker and not switched it on.

GPS Trackers Success In Recovering Stolen Motorcycle
At www.trackershop-uk.com we have a large variety of GPS trackers for different uses. One of which is the protection and recovery of assets. We know how effective GPS trackers are in the recovery of stolen goods and to emphasise this we thought we would share with you the experience of one of our clients when he had his motorbike stolen. Luckily it was fitted with one of our trackers.
'Just a quick note of thanks. My motorcycle was stolen from West Ham Football Club on Saturday at 4pm, after the game at 5pm we tracked it down to an inner city housing estate and the Police found it chained up (cheeky *********) AT 5.20pm after cutting the chain off and some slight damage it is back with its rightful owner. Best £300. I have ever spent thanks'
When our client found found his motorbike was stolen he was able to track it and when he reported it to the Police he told them where the thief had taken it to. The motorbike was recovered within minutes of it being reported stolen.
We are sure there would not have been such a swift outcome if the motorcycle had not been fitted with a GPS tracking device.
